Angus Fletcher
CEO
Angus joined Fnality as a Senior Commercial and Regulatory Advisor with 25 years of experience in regulatory and financial markets within both corporate and investment bank businesses. His expertise includes global transaction banking, derivatives, FX, and market infrastructure. His strengths are his proven track record of regulatory advocacy, stakeholder relationships, and program management.

Paul Ramkumar
CIO
Paul has launched two banks, a blockchain-based financial market infrastructure, and scaled two international brokerages. He has held CTO and COO positions at various financial institutions, demonstrating success in building regulated banks, and blockchain payment systems, and scaling financial services companies.

Mark Goree
CRO
Mark joined Fnality in March 2023 from Lloyds Banking Group where he was Risk Director for Technology and Payments. He began his career as a Chartered Accountant before gaining over 30 years’ experience across the financial services industry in both the UK and New Zealand. Mark’s passion is balancing innovative and data-driven risk management with our commercial objectives.

Charitha Shashiraj
General Counsel
Charitha was part of the team that supported Fnality’s early-stage design which led to securing necessary regulatory approvals. Before Fnality, Charitha worked at Linklaters in the Capital Markets and Derivatives team where she advised clients on several cutting-edge cryptocurrency, smart contracts and DLT projects in the UK, Europe and Asia.

Daniel Caplan
Head of Finance
Daniel is an ACA-qualified accountant with over 17 years of experience in various roles in finance, 7 of which in senior, Director and regulatory roles across financial services companies. His extensive background has equipped him with a deep understanding of complex financial systems and regulatory frameworks.

Rachel James
Head of Strategy & Transformation
Rachel has expertise in payment system policy from her time at the Bank of England, where she worked on regulatory approaches for innovative payment systems and contributed to key reviews and guidance on DLT-based systems. Currently, she focuses on strategic management, policy, regulatory affairs, and operational excellence.

Stephan Mahnke
Head of Customer Management
Stephan is responsible for Fnality UK’s growing client network, implementing Fnality’s client solutions in the UK and for managing its solution partners. Prior to joining Fnality in 2022, Stephan spent 16 years in banking in 3 countries, including most recently Director and head of UK wholesale payments product at Deutsche Bank. Stephan holds a certification in International Cash Management (CertICM) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Nancy Chan
Head of Internal Audit
Nancy has over 20 years of audit experience in both private equity owned and public companies in the UK and US. Most recently, she worked at Paysafe, a global payments fintech and e-money institution listed on the New York Stock Exchange, where she setup and scaled the audit team in line with the business, whilst also leading the internal audit functions at group level and for the local regulated entities in the UK, EEA and US.

Maxine Dash
Head of People & Talent
With more than 15 years of experience in Talent Management and People Operations at organizations such as Hilton, VW Group UK, and Nationwide, Maxine offers valuable strategic expertise in People Experience to the Fnality UK team. She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Matthew Elderfield
Chairman
Matthew has an extensive background in banking and financial regulation, having worked in various senior roles in the UK, EU, and Bermuda. Positions include Chief Risk Officer at Nordea, Deputy Governor at the Central Bank of Ireland, and Chief Executive of the Bermuda Monetary Authority. Matthew has experience in banking supervision, markets policy, and regulatory roles within European authorities.

Ron Berndsen
Non-Executive Director
Ron is a Professor of Financial Market Infrastructures and Systemic Risk at Tilburg University and editor-in-chief of the Journal of FMIs. He has held various high-profile roles at De Nederlandsche Bank and served on committees related to market infrastructures. Ron is also an independent non-executive director of LCH Group.
